In Zaprite, Tasks are used as line items on Invoices. In order to send an Invoice, you must add at least one Task, which will appear as a line item and be used to calculate the subtotal, tax amount and total.
Every invoice must be assigned at least one (1) Task.
Creating a new Task
You can create a Task in a number of different ways:
1. Click the [+] symbol on the Dashboard to open the 'Quick-create' menu.
2. Navigate to 'Tasks' from the main navigation, and then click the 'New Task' button.
3. When adding or editing an Invoice, you can click the 'Manage Tasks' text link at the bottom of the Tasks section.
Title: Add a title for your Task. (Required)
Contact: Assign the Task to an existing Contact. (Optional)
Description: Add a short description that will appear on the Invoice line item. (Optional. Limited to 1,000 characters.)
Rate: Add the cost/rate for this Task. This is used, along with the Quantity setting, to calculate subtotals. This can be edited at anytime after creating the Task. (Required)
Quantity: Add a quantity for this Task. This is used, along with the Rate setting, to calculate subtotals. This can be edited at anytime after creating the Task. (Required)
